The truck, with Alberta license plate CGC 6164, was stolen from a business on Veats Avenue between 1 and 2 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 14).

The theft occurred between 8 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 13) and 4 p.m. on Friday (Feb.14).

Officers initially located the suspects in a stolen vehicle, but when police attempted to approach, the suspects fled the scene. A containment strategy was immediately enacted in the surround area.

The traffic stop led to the discovery and seizure of over 1,000 grams of methamphetamine, 145 grams of cocaine and one litre of GHB.

On Oct. 23, an RCMP officer with the Roving Traffic Unit conducted a traffic stop with a pickup truck on Highway 16 and made several observations that led him to suspect the lone male occupant was in possession of illegal drugs.

According to RCMP, a pedestrian was jogging on the roadside in the oncoming lane when a Dodge Dakota hit them. The vehicle then sped off and was last seen driving east on Switzer Drive.

Earlier this week, Mounties reported that a suspect had approached three random women from behind in public areas, forcibly pulled their pants down and took a photo each time.

Police are asking anyone with footage of the Cabin Creek area, between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, to review it and submit anything that could be linked to the investigation.

The credit card was used to make purchases that morning before it was cancelled.
