Edson RCMP arrested a 27-year-old male from Yellowhead County for break and enter twice within three days.

On May 10, police received a call for a break and enter in progress at a residence in Edson, but the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Following an investigation, police located and arrested the male.

The investigator was able to link the suspect to three other incidents in Edson, including a residential break and enter on May 7, a theft from a vehicle on May 8 and a mischief on May 9.

RCMP charged the male with nine offences across all incidents, and the male was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions.

On May 13, police received a call for a break and enter in a residence in Edson.

A witness identified the person who committed the break and enter as the same suspect in the previously noted incidents.

Shortly after, the male was located and arrested.

Riley Joseph Belcourt was charged with multiple counts, including break and enter, theft and mischief.

He was once again brought before a justice of the peace after the May 13 incident and remanded into custody.

His next court date is set for June 4 at Edson court.
