RYTER, Shannon - November 19, 1976 to February 1st, 2023
Family and friends will sadly miss Shannon Dawn Katherine Ryter who passed away February 1st, 2023, born in Timmins, Ontario, on November 19, 1976.
She was the daughter of Susan Ryter, (pre-deceased), Glen Ryter and stepdaughter to Celeste Heintzman Ryter. Shannon leaves behind her life partner, Tony Vlahos, her sisters, Sherri Harding (Richard), Amanda Dion (Neil) and her stepsister Amanda Yunger (Matt). She also will be missed by her aunts, uncles and her 7 nieces and 5 cousins.
Shannon discovered Jasper, Alberta during her teenage years and instantly fell in love with the mountains. There she found her partner Tony and was lovingly taken in as a fourth child by Joanne, Jim and Gus Vlahos. They loved Shannon and would do anything for her.
Shannon and Tony spent a lot of time in the off season at their home in Phoenix, Arizona, where she will be missed by many friends. Phoenix became Shannon's happy place later on in her life.
Shannon was always kind, compassionate and had a huge heart. She loved making everyone else happy before herself. She will be forever loved and deeply missed, as she reunites with her mother.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held April 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Jasper, at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church with interment to follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edson Funeral Home in Edson, Alberta.
