LAMBERT, Constance Marie Luce - August 17, 1955 to October 22, 2023

We are very, very sad to announce that Constance passed away October 22, age 68, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July.

She was predeceased by her parents Fernand and Claire-Helene and is survived by her life partner Laurie, her sons Jeremie and Julien and her nine brothers and sisters Sylvie, Jocelyne, Mario (Claire), Yvon (Lise), Claude (Michele), Francois (Lucie), Martine (Gilles), Michel (Luce) and Isabelle (Marco) as well as numerous nephews and nieces and their children.

Constance was born August 17, 1955 in Thetford Mines, Quebec and brought up in the neighbouring town of East Broughton. She had a wonderful childhood as the sixth child in a large close-knit family to whom she remained close her entire life. This connection was maintained by annual trips to Quebec, many family visits to Jasper and many hours on the phone and internet.

Constance first came to Jasper in 1978 en route from Quebec to California and an overnight stopover turned into a month. She loved it here so much that after California she moved back for the rest of her life. She had an energetic and adventurous spirit, a longtime passion for photography and was especially happy during her travels to over 30 countries all over the world. She loved being a mother to her two boys and a partner to Laurie and loved living in her home on Colin Crescent. She was proud that over the years seven of her nephews and nieces chose to come to Jasper to stay summers with her and that they all reached out to her during her last month to say how their adventures out west as teenagers had enriched and changed their lives.

Constance was completely at peace with the world when she passed away knowing that she had lived a beautiful life with many great friends. She always felt fortunate to have experienced a forty-year-long love story (and a few shorter ones before that) and she bravely faced her short battle with cancer.

She passed away with Jeremie, Julien and Laurie surrounding her and comforting her to the end. Following her wishes there will be no funeral or organized public celebration of life.

With love from her family, Bon Voyage Constance.
