JOHNSON, Jonathan Neil - October 16, 1987 – May 20, 2023
Jonathan Neil Johnson ("Jonnie") passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, surrounded by family and cared for by committed medical staff. Jonnie was born in Jasper where he went on to spend his happiest, most rewarding years with close friends and family playing softball, riding horses, fishing, cooking, and being outdoors. Jonnie had a special place in his heart for dogs – especially his former companions Gauge and Missy, and his childhood dog Mike.
Jonnie is survived by his mother Lynne Johnson, née Westman, his father Nels Johnson, his brother Jeffrey Westman, his brother-in-law Justin Westman, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, family, and chosen family.
Jonnie was predeceased by his grandparents, Art and Yvonne Johnson and John and Gwennie Westman. Funeral services will be held at St. George's Anglican Church at 11733 87 Avenue NW in Edmonton at 11 AM on June 9, 2023. He will be interred at the Jasper Cemetery with his Westman grandparents in August.
