The Rocky Mountain Raiders have marched to the second round of the playoffs.
Rocky Mountain earned a three-game series win on the road over the Red Deer Chiefs in the Alberta Female Hockey League U18 AA postseason over the March 7-9 weekend.
Teagan Shaddock, in her playoff debut, posted a 26-save shutout to see the Raiders past Red Deer by a 1-0 count in the decisive Game 3 on Sunday in central Alberta.
Rocky Mountain captain Ashley Williams notched the game- and series-winning goal, an even strength tally in the second period.
Red Deer took Game 2 by a 4-3 score. Charlotte Hallam had two goals for the Raiders in the loss with Taylor Baehl adding the other marker.
In the series opener, Rocky Mountain mounted a three-goal third period surge on goals from Sarah Grummett, Violet Crawford and Kamryn Kutzner to earn the 3-2 win.

The top four teams, along with the host, advance to the provincial championships, held this year in Sherwood Park.
In the U18 AAA playoffs, the Rocky Mountain Raiders were defeated 2-0 in the best-of-three opening round series by the St. Albert Slash by 6-2 and 4-0 scores.
Graduating forward Anna Kapocsi led the Raiders with 10 goals and 15 points with standout rookies Ella Simard, a multi-sport star at Foothills Composite, and blueliner Gracie Dengler finishing second and third in team scoring with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
