David Sabine runs as Libertarian in Airdrie-Cochrane riding

The new riding, made up of the soon-to-be defunct Banff-Airdrie riding, has not seen a Libertarian party candidate in past election cycles.

David Sabine is Airdrie-Cochrane's Libertarian Party candidate in the 2025 Federal Election.

David Sabine is Airdrie-Cochrane's Libertarian Party candidate. 

Sabine has co-authored books and blogs on cloud services, project management, and software product development. He has spoken at industry events, including a NIST conference on cybersecurity and software supply chains in 2024 and TEDxFortMcMurray in 2012.

He has also written extensively about government inefficiencies, including a book on the failures of Canada’s Phoenix Payroll System.

Sabine is currently the only Libertarian candidate in Alberta listed on the party's website.

Airdrie-Cochrane is a new electoral district. Following the 2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution, it will first be contested at during the 2025 federal election. It was created in 2023 as "Airdrie-Cochrane" from parts of Banff-Airdrie, including the Airdrie, Cochrane, and parts of Rocky View County.

The Libertarian Party of Canada was founded in 1973. Since Banff-Airdrie's creation in 2013, there has not been a listed Libertarian candidate in that riding.
