Hot Shots: Jasper Curling Club hosts ice skills tournament

Curlers showed off their skills at Jasper Curling Club’s annual Hot Shots competition on Monday night.

Shots included draw to the button, hit and roll, hit and stay, double take-out, raised take-out and draw through.

Winning the event with 16 points was Rob Hubrick. 

Brenda Dew and Hilary Olson tied second with 14 points each. They facaed off in a tie-breaking draw to the button and Dew took the second place trophy.

Jasper Curling Club is hosting Friday Fun Curling Nights on January 17, 24 and 31 at 7 p.m.

Everyone is welcome at the events for a fun night of curling. They are free for members and $5 for non-members.

Bring clean indoor shoes. Equipment and instruction provided. Children aged nine and older are welcome while accompanied by a parent.
