Jasper’s streets were filled with the sounds of sirens on Saturday as first responders put on an Emergency Vehicle Parade.
Families waved from their windows, balconies and front yards as the parade made its way along almost every residential street in town.
The parade was organized to bring Easter cheer to households and happiness to the community while public health orders led to cancelling family celebrations.
Before the event, assistant fire chief Amy West said the parade would be “a couple of fire trucks” and maybe an ambulance and police car.
But on the day the emergency vehicles just kept coming around the corner - and all dressed to the nines for Easter.
Jasper Fire Department is also offering personalized birthday drive-bys for children who have had to cancel their celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
