It has been my utmost honour to have served as the MLA for West Yellowhead from 2019 to May 2023. I am seeking re-election to continue serving the amazing constituents of West Yellowhead and help secure the future for generations to come.

My wife Vanessa and I live just outside Whitecourt in Woodlands County, where we are kept very busy with our young twins, and a growing greenhouse business.

Becoming a parent has really solidified, to me, why we need a fiscally responsible government: the children, youth, and future generations in Alberta deserve to know that they will not be saddled with paying off debts of reckless spending by governments past; they deserve to know that there are leaders working to ensure an abundance of opportunities for them when they grow up.

As I’ve been speaking with people in West Yellowhead, keeping life affordable for Alberta families, improving rural physician recruitment and retention, and finding solutions to rural crime have been the topics coming up front and centre. These are some of the key pillars of the United Conservative’s detailed plan to Move Alberta Forward.

Moving Alberta Forward and Securing the Future is bigger than our present-day selves – it’s about what we leave for those who will follow and creating the economic landscape they will need to thrive, and the diversification of our economy will play a big part in that future. I look around West Yellowhead and see incredible opportunity for strengthening the local economies of our unique, rural communities through tourism, small business, and industry.

My passion for the vast, diverse landscapes of West Yellowhead and strong admiration for small business owners led me to my role as Parliamentary Secretary of Small Business and Tourism, then my further reappointment as Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business under the United Conservative government. This position gave me the opportunity to meet so many entrepreneurial Albertans who have proven that tenacity, perseverance and determination is as much a part of our landscape as the Rocky Mountains. It has made me proud to represent such a remarkable cross-section of business founders.

Over the past four years, I have proudly advocated for all the constituents of West Yellowhead. From bringing forward stakeholder challenges with red tape, to voicing resident concerns to government caucus, and supporting the many projects that community groups and start-ups have brought forward, I have made sure the voices in West Yellowhead have been heard.

I pride myself on the relationships I have built during my time in office – my door has always been open, and I spend my evenings and weekends returning calls to ensure all voices are heard.

I am seeking re-election and I will continue to bring your voices forward to instill confidence in our future as fellow Albertans. We are all in this together.
