Airdrie auto dealer charged with trafficking in stolen vehicles, money laundering, fraud

Calgary area dealership International Motor Cars had two locations that were searched, which led police to recovering three stolen and re-vinned vehicles.

On Aug. 28, 2024, the RCMP Auto Theft Unit, with the assistance of Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team, Airdrie RCMP, and Calgary Police Service, executed search warrants at three locations in Calgary and Airdrie, for an investigation that began in 2023.

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Fraud Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime (x2)
  • Forgery

RCMP have also engaged with AMVIC to address numerous victims of International Motor Cars.
