Jasper was the setting of the latest episode of ABC’s “The Bachelor” starring Joey Graziadei and the six women vying for his heart.
The talent stayed at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, a 700-acre luxury resort along Lac Beauvert in Jasper National Park.
“From a creative standpoint, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a slam dunk,” according to publicist statement emailed to the Fitzhugh.
“It's a stunning property that has a variety of luxury cabins and outdoor locations that are great for filming. In addition to the visual beauty, we also had tremendous support from Fairmont JPL and Fairmont Corporate, as well as Tourism Jasper and Travel Alberta. All those elements combined make for an ideal partnership and filming location.”
In this hit reality TV series, a single and eligible bachelor gets to know a number of beautiful women and gradually narrows the field as he continues his search for his soul mate.
Bachelor Joey Graziadei is a 28-year-old professional tennis instructor from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who is described as having “stolen America’s hearts” on season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”
In this week’s episode, Joey had to choose the four women whose families he will meet.
During a one-on-one date, Daisy and Joey took a romantic horseback riding journey throughout Jasper National Park before taking a dip in a Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge hot tub, skating at the Jasper Arena and having a romantic dinner at Papa George’s Restaurant.
This week’s group date with Jenn, Maria, Kelsey T. and Rachel featured in the LumberJills Olympics where they competed in ax throwing, sawing and chugging elk milk amid the sprawling mountains.
In another one-on-one date, Kelsey A. and Joey ventured around the small mountain town of Jasper before stopping at the Whistle Stop Pub, taking part in Jasper Polar Plunge Palooza and eating an intimate dinner at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Joseph Schow, minister of Tourism and Sport, stated how Alberta's growing film and television industry continues to create new opportunities to showcase the province for viewers worldwide.
“With stunning filming locations around every corner of Alberta, from the rolling prairies of southern Alberta to the jaw-dropping vistas of the Rocky Mountains, our province captivates viewers and sparks a desire within them to explore our natural beauty,” Schow said in a statement.
“New film and television opportunities, like The Bachelor, will drive visitors to our province in masses and help put Alberta’s visitor economy on track to reach $25 billion in visitor expenditures a year by 2035.”
Tanya Fir, minister of Arts, Culture and the Status of Women, added in a statement how this industry has over 4,000 jobs and attracted $1.2 billion of investment to our province since 2020.
“The Bachelor is just another example of our province’s ability to attract major productions watched around the world,” Fir said.
The episode aired Monday on ABC and is now available to stream on Hulu.
