For over 20 years, the Jasper Yellowhead Museum & Archives has held the Festival of Trees much to the delight of our community.
The museum has enjoyed the support of residents, businesses and organizations alike with their generous donations each year to make this event a successful fundraiser as well as a popular traditional event.
Now it is time for the museum to support the community with the same wonderful display of trees, lights and decorations but with no items to bid on due to the hardship we are all experiencing.
In this way, the museum board and staff wish to offer Comfort & Joy for all to enjoy during our display of a Christmas Wonderland which will be open from Friday, Nov. 22 to coincide with the Moonlight Madness event, through to Sunday, Dec. 22.
This year, there will be an expanded Donate & Go Christmas Decoration section, which will include fully decorated trees with some available to rent over the holiday season. The museum is open from Thursdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The museum is now host to the Local Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and browse through the offerings of our local artisans.
We sincerely hope that we will see everyone from children to seniors at the museum to enjoy this cherished event.
If you wish to donate any Christmas items for our Donate & Go section, please drop off at the museum when open.
We wish everyone in Jasper and any residents who are displaced a safe and joyous holiday season.
