photo225.jpgCurling season begins

The curling season kicked off this week with a fun men’s night on Monday (Nov. 2) at the Activity Centre with the regular season starting up next week.

League president Doug Albert says they are still hoping for more teams and people to sign up for the men’s, women’s or mixed leagues.

This year the league has eight men’s teams, up from six last year, while the ladies league is also up in numbers and the mixed league is the same as last year.

There are some new faces this year, but also some people who haven’t signed up from last year that they are hoping will turn out.

Catch all the regular season play for the men on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m., ladies on Tuesday nights and mixed on Thursday nights. The drop-in league is on Wednesday and Friday nights.

Anyone who wants to join one of the leagues other than the drop-in, either as an individual or a team, can call Doug Albert at 780-852-3174.
