New signage on Jasper’s Easy Trail system

While hiking or biking in the valley this summer, be sure to check out the new interpretive signs along Jasper’s Easy Trail System.

These signs, placed by trail crew this spring, provide a directional map, beautiful illustrations and a short information piece on one of the park’s common wildlife species.

The Easy Trail System, along with the new signage, have been discovered by many trail enthusiasts this season. These trails provide a great “out-of-car” alternative, keep people safely off the roadways and directly access popular areas like Lake Annette, Old Fort Point, and Whistler and Wapiti Campgrounds.

Get out on the trail and learn while you go!

New Map Series

National Geographic recently issued a new map series covering Jasper, Banff, Yoho and Kootenay national parks at a 1:100,000 scale.

These maps are the first visitor-oriented series that cover all of Jasper National Park plus Mount Robson and Hamber Provincial Parks.

Parks Canada provided the most up-to-date information on official trails, campgrounds and visitor facilities for the maps, which are available at the Friends of Jasper store.
