Freestyle team places well at winter game qualifiers Print

While hosting the 2010 Alberta Winter Games qualifier, Jasper was able to post some top results, including several top ten finishes. That included a third place finish by Angus Jenkins on the moguls.

Jenkins’ third place finish was accompanied by a sixth place finish by Sam Ruttiman and a tenth place finish by Sebastien Henke.

On the girls side, Melissa Hiron placed sixth overall in the slopestyle event and Hannah Stainton finished tenth in the competition. Hiron coupled her result with a fourth place overall finish on the moguls, while Stainton grabbed tenth on the moguls.

For the boys, Sam Ruttiman was the top overall Jasper skier in the slopestyle competition, finishing seventh overall, only 0.2 points out of the top five. Cameron Brown placed 23rd, Julian Kapronczai finished 34th, Jaymes Schmidt grabbed 35th. Other finishes included Ryley Tower (41), Angus Jenkins (43), Sebastien Henke (46), Joshua Bashforth (52).

Other Jasper finishers on the moguls included Cameron Brown (12), Jaymes Schmidt (24), Ryley Tower (26), Daniel Chetner (40).
